Fritzwa International Empowers Women in Gomoa Central with Hat-Making Skills

Fritzwa International, a Ghana-based non-governmental organization focused on equipping vulnerable individuals with vocational skills, recently held a hat-making workshop for women in Gomoa Central. This initiative, aimed at fostering self-reliance and financial empowerment, was made possible through sponsorship from Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus.

A-Plus, a musician, social commentator, and aspiring independent Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, has been vocal about his commitment to community development. As part of his efforts to support local women, his sponsorship of this training program reflects his dedication to grassroots empowerment and sustainable change. A-Plus aims to unseat the incumbent MP in the 2024 parliamentary elections, running as an independent candidate, a move he believes will bring authentic representation to the constituency.

The workshop equipped participants with the skills to create stylish hats, opening doors for small-scale entrepreneurial ventures. Fritzwa International’s ongoing efforts to empower communities through such initiatives align with their broader mission of fostering economic independence among disadvantaged groups in Ghana. By focusing on practical and creative skills like hat-making, the organization continues to make a significant impact across various regions in the country
