Following their successful initiative at Nsawam Prisons in Ghana, Fritzwa International is taking a significant step in their mission to empower incarcerated women throughout Africa. Sierra Leone was selected as their next destination, especially after witnessing the profound need during their prior visits.
In August 2023, Naana Djan, the esteemed founder of Fritzwa International, met with SAHR DAVID THOMAS NGOUJAH, the Deputy Director-General of prisons in Sierra Leone. The purpose was to discuss the organization’s intention of training female inmates in fashion handicrafts as part of the “Beyond Bars” campaign. Colonel Ngoujah and his team expressed deep gratitude and enthusiasm at the news, recognizing the positive impact such a program could have on the lives of many inmates.
By equipping these women with vocational skills, Fritzwa International is not only offering a lifeline but also ensuring a brighter future for many upon their release
Naana Djan, your initiative and the programmes of Fritzwa International brings hope beyond bars indeed.
You are helping to limited hardship in our African societies that contributes towards the erosion of dignities of women and children. Your act of service is touching the core fibres of our society, as you push forward to bring hope to these incarcerated women.
Will help to laud your voice to reach millions of incarcerated women in Africa.
